Alec Sauerbrei - Curriculum Lead

Alec Sauerbrei is a Senior majoring in Computer Engineering with an emphasis on cybersecurity. He has had an internship at Kingland Systems doing software development on a long standing solution at the company.


Colin Ward - Communications Lead

Colin Ward is a student in the concurrent BS/MBA program, majoring in Computer Engineering. He’s had plenty of experience through various software engineering and business analytics, At companies such as Cerner, NISC, and Kingland Systems. Colin has also gained a lot of teamwork focused experience throughout his coursework at ISU, in classes like COMS 309, CPRE 388, and CPRE 381.


Dalton Handel - Networking Lead

Dalton Handel is a is a Senior majoring in Computer Engineering. His studies are geared toward cybersecurity. He has professional experience in cloud systems engineering, specifically configuration management automation, with Netsmart Technologies. Through his studies and jobs he has enjoyed success fueled by curiosity and collaboration.


Hope Scheffert - Documentation Lead

Hope is a Senior in Software Engineering. She is currently an intern at Kingland Systems on the Platform Cognitive Team doing work with machine learning and topic analysis on text corpuses.


Omar Taylor - Software Design Lead

Omar is a Senior majoring in Computer Engineering and minoring in Cyber Security. He has had opportunity to have two internships as a Network and Infrastructure Engineer with The MITRE Corporation. From these internships, he gained a great deal of interpersonal skills as well as technical skills ranging from Internet of Things, embedded systems, network security, reverse-engineering, and programming experience. These skills will come in handy for his team’s project.


Tyler Much - Physical Design Lead

Tyler Much is majoring in Computer Engineering with a focus in security. He is also completing his minor in Leadership Studies and plans to graduate in May of 2018. Tyler has a wide range of job experience, ranging from product development and mechanical engineering, to systems support and administration, and now finally cyber security. His versatile skillset has made him the ideal consultant; he has accepted a position as a Cyber Security Consultant for PWC after graduation.
